Grisaia Phantom Trigger Vol 01 and 02 brings the first two episodes of the acclaimed visual novel series to the Nintendo Switch as a single eShop package. Developed by Frontwing and published by Prototype, this release launched on June 25, 2020, and combines the opening chapters of the Phantom Trigger saga into one convenient NSP file. If you're a fan of story-driven action games with deep character writing and branching narratives, this collection gives you a substantial starting point without hunting down each volume separately.

The game follows a new generation of operatives at Mihama Academy, a school that serves as a front for a covert counter-terrorism unit. You'll meet Haruto, Rena, Tohka, Chris, and Murasaki as they take on dangerous missions that blend slice-of-life school moments with tense action sequences. The Switch version supports Japanese, English, and Chinese text, making it accessible to a wide audience despite the JPN eShop label.

Below you'll find the full technical specifications, a breakdown of what makes this release worth your time, and direct download links for the NSP file. The package is region-free, so you can install it on any Switch console regardless of where you purchased your hardware.

What's Inside Grisaia Phantom Trigger Vol 01 and 02

This NSP bundle contains the first two volumes of the Phantom Trigger series, each offering several hours of narrative gameplay. Volume 01 introduces the new cast and sets up the central conflict, while Volume 02 raises the stakes with more complex missions and deeper character development. The writing balances lighthearted school life with serious themes of espionage and moral ambiguity, a hallmark of the Grisaia franchise.

The Switch version includes touchscreen support and can be played both docked and in handheld mode. Since the game is primarily text-based with occasional animated action scenes, it runs smoothly without demanding much from the hardware. The NSP file is region-free, meaning you can install it on any Switch console regardless of region, and the included language options cover Japanese, English, and Chinese.

For players who enjoy visual novels with action elements, this collection offers a strong entry point. The story is self-contained enough that you don't need prior knowledge of the original Grisaia trilogy, though longtime fans will appreciate the references and connections. The pacing in Volume 01 starts slowly as it introduces the cast, but Volume 02 picks up significantly with more intense sequences.
